The PMRG Education Webinar subcommitee (a Division of the Education Committee) is issuing a call for speakers in a three-part webinar series addresseing new online technologies for collecting data.  This series will be presented in the early summer.  The three specific webinar topics are:

 

  1. How new online technology has changed data collection – a general overview of recent advancements for collecting meaningful data from respondents;
  2. Applications of new online technology in quantitative research – a practical discussion of how new technology has improved the quality of quantitative interactions and data
  3. Applications of new online technology in qualitative research – a practical discussion of how new technology has improved the quality of qualitative interactions and data

Each webinar will consist of up to three individual presentations (10 - 15 minutes) followed by a panel discussion of the content with questions from the audience.  Speakers are being solicited for each of the three webinars.  Participation in multiple webinars is permitted.


This webinar series is meant to provide client and consultant members with current information on new technologies.  While discussion of proprietary technology is persmitted, speakers and presentations will be selected on the broad applicability of their content to pharmaceutical marketing research.



Requirements for Submission:

The Webinar Committee of PMRG is If you would like to be considered as a presenter for a PMRG-sponsored webinar, submit a proposal that follows the guidelines below. Proposals must be received, electronically, through webinars@pmrg.org on or before May 28, 2010. Proposals will not be accepted without a completed submission form.

In order to be considered, your submission must include all of the following:

  • Title / Subject of Session

  • Session must not exceed 45-50 minutes in prepared material

  • Topic selection (see list on submission form)

  • A description of the topic/content (1,000 word maximum)

  • Include learning objectives and learner outcomes in the description

  •  A brief abstract for promotional materials (250 word max)

  •  Detail around the methodology. While we don’t want you to reveal proprietary information, we do want enough detail so that you aren’t discussing “black box” methodologies.

  • On a separate page submitted with the proposal, include:

    • Name, title, company and brief biography of speaker(s) (less than 80 words per person).  If you are selected, this information will be used for introducing you at the start of the webinar.

    • Contact information (full mailing address, phone, email, fax)

 

You may not “sell from the platform.” Those who do will not be invited back. Do not use any type of proprietary brand name for techniques or analytic methods that can otherwise be described in a generic way. Sessions should be relevant, energetic, and engaging.

Presenting a PMRG webinar is based on the contents of the proposal submission, and the presenters named at the time of submission. Any subsequent changes in speakers or content must be conveyed to the Education Committee. If you change something, we reserve the right to reassess the suitability for the PMRG webinar.
